The Shop
We are open for Spring sales. All plants shown here are grown in central Appalachia, zone 6b
Please Note
We are a bare root plant nursery, and bare root plants have a weather-specific window for digging. We can only ship plants when they are dormant. Orders placed now will begin shipping to warmer zones in march, and finish up in early april. We can not accommodate specific shipping dates outside of this range, as when the plants are waking up for us, they have to move along.
If you are going to be away during this time please either make arrangements for someone to receive your plants for you, or wait until the fall to order plants. It is best to plant right away when you receive your plants, even if temperatures are cold, unfrozen ground is very accommodating.
If you aren’t ready to plant, bareroot trees, shrubs, and perennials can be ‘heeled in’, placed in a trench and soil mounded around them, packed in tight, and can be planted at any time from this state. You can also keep plants in moist sawdust or soil in an in heated garage or the house for a brief time.
